Sleep,

fades

into the dawn…

Daylight sears through the sky,

a shooting star cries for help,

the darkness closes in

suffocating the light.

Work,

arrives

unceasingly…

The rush cuts through flesh,

operating in a race against time,

but life becomes vulnerable.

Love,

endures

always…

The spark gradually infects,

until nothing else exists,

flourishing with time.

Disease,

numb to compassion,

spreads insanity…

The unmerciful torture,

a living death.

The cure comes,

eventually…

Family,

flawed with feuding…

Dysfunctional love is everlasting,

like time itself,

but bonds keep us together.

Sleep,

comes

every night…

Nightfall expands from darkness,

a peacefulness drifts into the air,

dreams engulf darkness.

Day has been consumed

by time.
